The Stately Hound offer a curated collection of exquisite canine essentials – many of which are handmade in the UK. From chic accessories to apparel, they help owners celebrate the unique bond between them and their pets.

What They Wanted


Circus PPC began working with The Stately Hound in May 2023, where the brand came from working with a previous agency with goals in place to improve PPC performance and strategy to increase ROI.

Since then, Circus has worked closely with The Stately Hound to drive business growth, and despite starting work together late into the month of May saw immediate MOM improvements including:

  • 108% ROI increase
  • 105% revenue increase
  • 74% sales growth

What We Did

The Activity

Upon taking over the account, we realised one of the initial challenges within the account were low-converting Search campaigns, which we quickly optimised alongside introducing new Search and DSA campaigns in order to improve performance. Following these changes, we saw an immediate MOM improvement in sales, revenue and CVR.

Ongoing improvements to the account ensured that performance continued to increase, including ROI that stayed above the 3x goal for most part. Implemented changes included:

  • New PMax | All Products campaign including images, videos, headline & description assets to replace the PMax | Shopping Only campaign which ran with no assets;
  • Adding ROAS targets into all PMax bidding strategies;
  • Re-enabling product specific campaigns and testing new activity to see what works. This activity included: ad variations, image asset variations, and creating a ‘no asset’ group as a Standard Shopping campaign.

Account improvements are ongoing, and we’re constantly working closely with our client to ensure that performance meets and exceeds expectations.


The Results

Over the past six months working with The Stately Hound, we’ve hugely improved their PPC performance, driving growth for the business – including in their desired area of ROI, which continues to improve.

Comparing Jun-Nov 2022 VS 2023, we’ve seen:

  • 76% revenue increase
  • 132% sales growth
