The Role
Job Description
Are you a Meta Ads Expert with a passion for driving client success? Do you thrive on crafting innovative strategies and seeing tangible results? Do you love diving deep into data and unearthing valuable insights? This job might just be for you!
Circus PPC is an award-winning, independent specialist agency based in Leeds, dedicated to delivering measurable growth and outstanding results for our diverse portfolio of ambitious clients. We’re driven by data, committed to transparency, and passionate about the power of Paid Media. We don’t just manage campaigns; we build long-term partnerships based on trust, expertise, and a proactive approach.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly skilled Paid Social Manager to join our expanding team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll take the lead on managing, optimising, and growing our clients’ Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising accounts, becoming their trusted expert.
As a Paid Social Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our clients’ Meta advertising success.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Strategic Campaign Management: Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Meta advertising strategies across Facebook and Instagram to align with and exceed client KPIs (e.g., ROAS, CPA, Leads, Sales, Brand Awareness).
- Account Ownership & Operational Excellence: Taking full ownership of a portfolio of client Meta accounts. This includes managing execution without avoidable errors, ensuring all tasks are undertaken in a timely manner, and maintaining proactivity to provide a top-tier service.
- Audience & Market Expertise: Conducting in-depth audience research and segmentation. You will maintain a deep understanding of platform updates and industry changes to incorporate them into strategies that maintain a competitive edge.
- Forecasting & Global Leadership: Producing ad-hoc forecasts with suggested spend and expected results. You will lead international campaigns, ensuring consistent delivery and performance across markets while considering local nuances.
- Creative & Copy Excellence: Working closely with clients and internal teams to develop compelling ad creatives and captivating copy that resonates with target audiences and drives conversions.
- Budget & Bid Management: Meticulously managing and optimizing campaign budgets and bidding strategies to maximize ROI, scale existing activity, and launch new initiatives for client growth.
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitoring campaign performance and conducting in-depth data analysis. You will handle complex conversations around attribution and incrementality to provide actionable insights.
- Testing & Innovation: Designing and executing a testing roadmap, including Lift Studies and holdout/uplift testing. You will explore and implement new methodologies to improve performance and stay ahead of Meta platform updates.
- Client Consultancy & Reporting: Acting as the primary strategic contact. You will tell an effective story using data—focusing on impact and takeaway—to “surprise and delight” clients while resolving campaign-related challenges.
- Process Improvement & Mentorship: Identifying inefficiencies in campaign workflows and refining processes (such as ad briefing docs) to enhance account efficiency. You will also support the development of other team members through consistent mentorship.
- Sales & New Business Support: Working closely with internal teams to deliver Meta pitches, conducting independent comprehensive account audits, and supporting agency marketing (e.g., LinkedIn and blog posts).
What (or who) we’re looking for
We’re searching for someone who is:
- A Proven Meta Ads Expert: Demonstrable, hands-on experience managing substantial Meta (Facebook & Instagram) advertising budgets and delivering exceptional results for clients, ideally within an agency environment.
- Data-Driven & Analytical: You love numbers, can spot trends, and use insights to make informed decisions that drive performance. Proficient in Meta Ads Manager and reporting tools.
- Strategic Thinker: Able to translate business objectives into effective strategies, with a focus on long-term client retention by consistently adding value.
- Client-Centric: A natural relationship builder and primary point of contact capable of explaining complex concepts like attribution simply and confidently.
- Proactive & Inquisitive: Always looking for opportunities to improve and stay at the forefront of developments by attending webinars and training opportunities.
- Highly Organised: Capable of managing multiple client accounts and priorities with execution that is free of avoidable errors.
- Problem Solver: Resourceful and able to troubleshoot campaign issues and workflow inefficiencies effectively.
- Results-Oriented: Passionate about hitting and exceeding client KPIs and showing tangible ROI through incremental growth.
Bonus points if you have:
- Cross-Channel Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of how Paid Social integrates with PPC and a basic understanding of other channels including OOH.
- Platform Diversity: Experience with other paid social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest).
- Technical Tracking: Experience with Google Analytics and advanced conversion tracking setups.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Meta Blueprint).
This Role is not for community managers.
